Brian Thompson

Brian Thompson is the Director of Publications. As the director, he produces the award-winning Flagler College magazine and other publications. Brian also serves on the leadership team for the Division of Marketing and Communication. In addition to the work he performs with publications, he plays a lead role in the College's crisis communication strategy. Brian also advises the online student newspaper, The Gargoyle, and is an adjunct professor in the Communication Department.

Brian Thompson is a Flagler College graduate who found his way back to his alma mater more than 15 years ago after a long career as a journalist and editor in Northeast Florida. Communication and English major, he also has a master’s degree from the University of Missouri’s Journalism School in Media Management. He has a love for writing, running, and working with students, which he often does as an adjunct in Flagler’s Communication and English Departments. He continues to write a weekly award-winning humor column in The St. Augustine Record.
