Katherine Sweet

Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Professional Profile

Katherine Sweet holds a Ph.D. and M.A. in philosophy from Saint Louis University. Before that, she was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama, where she received her B.A. in philosophy from the University of South Alabama. Most recently, she spent a year at the University of Notre Dame as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for the Center for Philosophy of Religion. She specializes in epistemology, ethics, and philosophy of religion. Most recently, her research centers on the recognition of and appreciation of value and their roles in the development of intellectual virtue.
