Laura Mongiovi

Professor

Professional Profile

Laura Mongiovi's visual work seeks to uncover ideologies and actions that lead to the formation of structures within a given system.

These stories are not limited to paradigms of commerce, culture, and science. Events related to the natural world and a mutual human need to satisfy sensual desire are also present. This array of circumstances provides a deep awareness of one’s place in the present. Mongiovi utilizes various processes and materials to foster a visual language that pays homage to origins.

She exhibits and speaks about her work regionally and nationally and presents her teaching methods at conferences.

Mongiovi also maintains several blogs as a means of visually recording her studio process and the work of her students.
