Elementary Education
Our program prepares you to teach, support, and inspire the world's children. Once you complete your coursework and pass the FTCE exams, you'll be eligible to obtain a Florida certification to teach grades K-6, as well as endorsements in ESOL & Reading.
Program Requirements
The Flagler College Elementary Education program provides a state-of-the-art curriculum paired with hands-on experiences and opportunities to engage in real classrooms. All Elementary Education majors at Flagler College are trained to instruct in elementary areas, including reading, language arts, mathematics, social studies, and science.
Hybrid Day or Evening Programs
Students may choose from our day or evening programs. Day students will complete the curriculum within four semesters, and evening students will complete the curriculum within five semesters. Courses in Fall 2023 will be a mix of hybrid and online courses.
Practical Experience
Our hands-on approach begins in your first semester. You'll take part in practicum courses with area schools in the public school system, all culminating with a full-time internship your last semester.
