The Portfolio Show and The Proteus Award

At the end of every semester, the Graphic Design Program’s graduating class holds an event to showcase the result of their experience at Flagler. These students prepare a professional portfolio, featuring work examples in many different media formats. During “Portfolio Review,” a team of industry professionals is invited to review the work throughout the day and to choose the best book of the group.

The award for the best book is presented by the Proteus Company of Jacksonville, Florida. The award is our program’s greatest honor. The main event of the evening is a video presentation which gives a personal perspective of the students and their work. The video is produced by students in the class, and follows a concept that illustrates the personality of each class.
