9 Reasons to Celebrate the Fall Semester

Flagler College students, faculty, and staff had a semester for the books. Here’s what we’ve been up to…

1. We Enjoyed Pool Improvements

Students enjoyed upgraded pool furniture, a repaved patio, and new turf at the campus pool.

2. We Celebrated Family Weekend

Our Saints were joined by the rest of their pack for a weekend full of campus events, informational sessions, and city-wide activities.

3. We Welcomed a New President

The Flagler College Board of Trustees announced John Delaney as the fifth president of Flagler College.

4. We Took Off-Campus Trips

Student Activities took our Saints on the road and paid a visit to The Jacksonville Zoo, Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, and more local attractions.

5. We Launched the Flagler Core

The new Flagler Core was introduced to engage students in a journey that begins with the First-Year Seminar and culminates with the FlagSHIP program.

6. We Transformed our Campus into Hogwarts

Over 2,000 students came out to events throughout the week to celebrate their shared love of the famed Harry Potter series and carry on a long-standing Flagler tradition.

7. We Had a Record-Breaking Giving Tuesday

Thanks to our Saints and our community, Flagler College surpassed our Giving Tuesday goal of 300 donors and raised over $138,000.

8. We Rooted for our Athletes

Our women’s soccer team, women’s volleyball team, and women’s cross-country team all took home the title of Peach Belt Conference Champions.
