"I have never won a design award before. This would be my first win and one of the biggest ones for any design student to win," said student Vincent Lendering of his two ADDY awards for Elements of Advertising: Illustration and Elements of Advertising: Film, Video & Sound – Animation or Special Effects. The ADDY award is a nationally-recognized professional award. The event provides students the opportunity to network with potential employers and internship providers in marketing and advertising. Students who attend are able to promote Flagler’s Graphic Design program as well as demonstrate their own skills in design.

Department of Visual and Performing Arts Chair and Associate Professor Sara Pedigo said of this year’s awards, “it’s a great achievement for both our students and Flagler’s graphic design program.”

This year’s winners include Matthew Conner, Sarah Langston, Natalie Harris, Lisa Schweikert, Mason Mushinski, Kristin Busitzky, Karese Burrows and Vincent Lendering. These students won an assortment of both gold and silver awards in various categories, including Online App, Packaging, Magazine Advertising Campaign, TV & Video, and more. These students will join the ranks of other past Flagler ADDY winners, keeping up the legacy of Flagler student success.
