Another college milestone as first master's graduates receive diplomas
Dec 14Three students receiving diplomas at Flagler’s fall graduation ceremony represented a major milestone for the college: the first students to graduate from the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Master’s Program. The college’s first master’s program was launched in 2016 as a distance-learning program, and Mary Catherine Serfilippi, Miranda McMillan Slusser, and Olivia Grace Williams joined more than 180 undergraduate students for the commencement on Dec. 9. -
Fulbright scholar from Brazil visiting Flagler College to study Deaf Education program

Dr. Maraisa Lopes, from the Federal University of Piaui Teresina, Brazil, is working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program in the Education Department to study differences between Brazilian and American higher education experiences in the field. -

Flagler College takes top spot in Exceptional Student Education teaching program
Jan 30Exceptional Student Education has always been a popular program at Flagler College, and now it is ranked number one in the state. The program — at both St. Augustine and Tallahassee campuses — achieved the state’s highest ranking for teacher preparation at the elementary level, alongside Lynn University and Rollins College.
