The personalized, face-to-face interaction in and out of the classroom is what defines the transformative learning experience at Flagler College. This past year we had to make adjustments to that experience to maintain a healthy and safe campus. With the availability of the vaccine, we are able to plan a fall semester that returns the campus to pre-pandemic operations.
While more details are being finalized and will be released soon, we wanted to share several important details about our fall semester plans.
What to Expect This Fall
Our Core Values remain our compass when guiding plans for this fall, and the circumstances of the pandemic mean a commitment from all of us to live our values by exhibiting citizenship with integrity, respect, stewardship, and a commitment to personal transformation.
Below you will find a quick guide to the fall, Fall operations plan, FAQs, and resources.
We are strongly encouraging every member of our community to get vaccinated. During the 2021-22 academic year, students who have not uploaded a COVID vaccine card will participate in COVID outbreak prevention testing throughout the year.
The vaccines are safe and effective, and getting vaccinated is the surest way to dramatically reduce the danger of severe illness, hospitalization, or even death. It is also a powerful tool for protecting other members of the Flagler College community who are at higher risk or have loved ones at higher risk.
If you have not received the COVID-19 vaccine, we will be holding a vaccine clinic on August 31st. Here are the details:
- When: Tuesday, August 31
- Where: Jay's Place, Student Center
- Time: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Registrations are required.Back To Top
To further encourage vaccination, we will have a number of incentives made available to students who provide proof of COVID vaccination as our way of saying thank you for helping us keep the campus safe. It is crucial that we know all that we can about the health of our community. You can upload your vaccine card at flagler.studenthealthportal.com.
All students who upload their COVID Vaccination card will :
- Receive a free meal at either The Bistro, P.O.D., Chick-Fil-A, or the Dining Hall.
- Be entered in a raffle for the chance to win:
- $300 gift card to the Campus Bookstore
- $100 gift card Flagler's Legacy Retail Store
Bonus- If 75% of our students upload their COVID vaccination card to the Student Health Portal, each participating student will receive $100.Back To Top
Masking, at this time, is not required while on campus. We do realize that masking is a personal choice, and we encourage anyone who feels it necessary to wear a mask, to do so.
Masking in the Classroom: The classroom policy for each class will be followed as outlined in the professor’s syllabus.Back To Top
Our plan remains for classes and campus to be open and in-person for everyone. Professors will not be recording classes so if you miss class due to quarantine or isolation, it will be your responsibility to keep up with what is happening in the classroom.

As with class delivery, our plan is to be back to in-person events with a select number of hybrid or online events. Masks will be required at all indoor events and at high-risk outdoor events until Friday, Sept. 10.Back To Top
