Judith Burdan
Professional Profile
Professor Burdan earned her Ph.D. in English from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her M.A. and her B.A. in English and English Education from the University of Florida. Her literary interests are broad, but she particularly enjoys teaching courses in 18th century British literature, Jane Austen, women’s literature, and the history of the novel. As someone with a B.A. in English Education (and a few years of high school teaching experience), she is also very interested in the pedagogy of literature and writing. She is widely published in academic journals on both literary and pedagogical subjects, and has delivered more than thirty scholarly presentations at academic conferences and workshops.
