Educational Initiatives
Health and Wellness seeks to cultivate an environment that is comfortable and encourages students to seek help before they are at a crisis stage. Utilizing a proactive vs. reactive model, there will be a focus on prevention, education, and treatment. We work collaboratively with our on-campus and community partners to offer comprehensive health and wellness resources for our Flagler College community.

Incoming Student Prevention Training
(Vector Solutions)
Flagler College is committed to your success as a student, and ensuring that we are cultivating a safe, secure, and healthy campus environment. As students transition to college, they may experience issues centered around their health, safety, and security. To help you manage common challenges students often experience in college, Flagler College has partnered with Vector Solutions to offer training designed to help you and your peers identify challenges, understand how to navigate them, and comply with state and federal laws, as well as the college’s policies and procedures.
The training will cover Sexual Assault Prevention (i.e., Title IX Training), Alcohol education, and drug abuse prevention education. As a knowledgeable community, we make our campus a safe place to study, work, and play. These are required trainings for all incoming students (including Graduate and PAD programs).

Disability Considerations
Disability Considerations
Students with disabilities who seek reasonable accommodations to complete this training should consider registering with Flagler College’s Disability Resource Center, located in the Proctor library on the 2nd floor. DRC staff members work with students to obtain required documentation of disability and to identify appropriate accommodations as required by applicable disability laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). After receiving all necessary documentation, the DRC staff determines whether a student qualifies for services with the DRC and, if so, the accommodations will be provided to the student. For further information, contact the DRC by phone at 904.819.6490, by email at PPownall@flagler.edu, or visit the DRC website: Disability Resource Center
