Au Pair Weekend Course

Discover the rich history of St. Augustine, from early Spanish explorers through the American Civil Rights Movement, while meeting part of your J-1 visa requirements.  Flagler College's "Old and New St. Augustine: History and the Arts" Au Pair weekend this October.

The weekend begins Oct. 20, 2023, on Flagler College's beautiful and historic campus downtown. You can create and learn while you meet the U.S. Department of State au pair education requirements for J-1 visas.

Attend creative workshops with local artists, hear stories about St. Augustine on a walking tour, and explore lively topics with your fellow au pairs. 

Your home base during the day will be the Flagler College campus, but there will be plenty of time to bask at our sunny beaches. You can also enjoy all aspects of the city

Registration for "Old and New St. Augustine: History and the Arts" is Aug. 1-23. The course runs the weekend of Oct. 20-22. 

Here's the schedule for this latest offering from the College's Division of Continuing Education.

Course times:

  • Friday: 10 a.m.-9 p.m. (11 hours)
  • Saturday: 8 a.m.-9 p.m. (13 hours)
  • Sunday: 8 a.m.-8 p.m. (12 hours)

Check-in is 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. Friday at Flagler College's Pollard Hall, 31 Cordova St., St. Augustine, Fla. 32084.

The course costs $675. It includes eight meals, all tours, entrance fees, guides, art material, and a campus parking pass. Housing and transportation are not included. You will not earn college credit.

You must attend all sessions to get credit for the au pair education requirements. The course requires pre-weekend assignments, a pre-weekend Zoom meeting, and post-weekend assignments.
