Forward for Our Programs

Through Flagler Forward, we'll become a hub for next-wave programs, innovative initiatives, and global partnerships responsive to tomorrow’s needs.

Programs as unique as our location.

The First Coast is our eco research lab. St. Augustine is our tourism classroom. The history surrounding us is our archaeological dig site. Our students learn by doing. And that sets Flagler apart.

We’ve pioneered an experiential learning program and restructured the Flagler experience around our core values: transformative learning, respectful and inclusive community, citizenship with integrity, and thoughtful stewardship.

Still, there’s more to do for our students. That’s where you come in.

Choose a program. Move it forward.

Flagler Forward allows you to contribute to the programs that matter most to you. Our Honors Program offers student-scholars dedicated housing, high-impact learning experiences, service learning, and study abroad opportunities. Our Global Education and Multicultural Programs advance our understanding and support of each other and the world.

Access to unrivaled study-abroad experiences through FlagSHIP.

Just 20 percent of Flagler students can afford to study abroad. FlagSHIP changes that. Our sophomore high-impact program combines coursework, research, and immersive experiences. Moving forward, all Flagler students will have this pivotal experience.

Through FlagSHIP, our students have learned from incredible experiences such as:

  • Uncovering history in Chile
  • Examining water sustainability in Jordan
  • Exploring international relations throughout Bulgaria

And we have plans for more.

We can work one-on-one with students, helping them pursue unique undergraduate research, present at conferences, and even publish before graduation. All they need is our support to expand programs like these. This is just the start of what’s possible together.

Abigail Belchior ’23

She and her team traveled to Tucson to present their research on gopher tortoise ecology. Funding from the Office of Undergraduate Research made that research possible. Other scholarship support purchased research equipment and funded extra courses to help her pursue her postgraduate studies.

Your support helps us develop more programs for students like Abigail.
