As executive editor of the luxury lifestyle magazine, Whitewall, Jordan has found herself writing about some of the world’s top cultural, artistic and commercial venues from Louis Vuitton’s sneaker atelier in Italy to Art Basel in Miami.
This Flagler alumna works with numerous interesting and popular designers to cultivate the Whitewall magazine content. Always on the lookout and being contacted to interview new artists for the new edition of this luxury magazine.
"But covering the world of luxury isn’t something that comes easily,” she said. “It takes hard work and perseverance. To be successful post-graduation, one must have a dream and goal in mind, or else you will fail.”
Graduating from Flagler College in 2012, and a few semesters early, this Flagler alumna has worked hard throughout the past 10 years to make it to executive editor at Whitewall Magazine.
“You know, it was always just about like staying focused and getting it done and actually doing the work,” she said. “I think a lot of people forget that. The only thing that stands between you and what you want to do, is the work that you have to do to get there. So, I just did that. You know, I just did the work.”
After graduation, anywhere Jordan went she made sure to talk to people, put herself out there to establish her place in the creative industry and not take no for an answer. She worked as freelance writer, with a 5-year career list to never lose sight of her goals.
“Working at a Luxury lifestyle magazine is such a privilege and I feel very grateful,” she said. “I don't take it for granted. I remind myself all the time that I didn't come from this background, and I wasn't handed anything. I've worked really, really hard. I think because I worked so hard I am so grateful."
