The new ‘International’ award from Colleges of Distinction highlights exceptional services for students from outside the United States. This recognition underscores Flagler’s unwavering commitment to ensuring its international students thrive academically and personally.
“Flagler’s faculty and staff understand the unique challenges international students face when studying abroad in the United States,” President John Delaney said. “This award reflects our commitment to nurturing the growth and success of every student on our vibrant campus.”
With dedicated support from the Center for Global Education (CGE), international students and scholars receive expert guidance on visa and immigration procedures before their arrival.
Once on campus, the CGE continues to support international students in a variety of ways, including basic dorm supplies available through the College’s housing pantry, personalized advising and course scheduling services to ensure applicability to a degree, campus culture guidance, and weekly language and culture tables for cultural exchange within the Flagler community.
“Our world is increasingly interconnected, and we must provide ways for students to experience these connections during their college careers,” said Assistant Dean for Global Education and International Partnerships Jessica Howell. “Our goal is to provide students and scholars with an exceptional service so they may have an unforgettable experience on our campus.”
